The Heritage Association Board wishes to thank each and every contributor who has supported our work. We are keenly aware that as a group our dedicated volunteers have given hundreds of hours to fulfill our mission on behalf of the public. The museum is yours, a treasured destination for islanders, an inspiration for visitors, a resource for researchers, and the place where students acquire a sharpened appetite for the unique kind of learning that takes place in museums. The history of this singular place in America is your history. We hope you will support the Heritage Museum by visiting, by bringing your friends, by becoming a member, and by giving so that Vashon’s home for history will flourish.

There are a number of ways you can support the Vashon Heritage Museum. From membership and donations, to volunteering your time and expertise, the Museum can only exist because of support from people like you.
Donations
While the museum is partially funded by county and state grants, the bulk of our costs are covered by donations from local Vashonites, and those who feel a close connection to the Island. Our recent retrofitting of the Museum's foundation was funded by over 150 generous personal donations ensuring our building will last another 100 years. We also have a vision of expanding the museum through strategic partnerships with other historic Island buildings. And to do all this we need contributions from Islanders and visitors alike. Membership
Becoming a member of the Vashon Heritage Museum helps support its work of preserving the historical, cultural, and environmental past of our Island. It's a unique way to stay connected to What is going on at the Museum, from getting email newsletters to receiving promotional discounts and early-bird access to events. Membership has it's perks. Volunteer
Volunteers are the lifeblood of organizations such as ours. We all work together to preserve our Island’s unique heritage. From the first peoples to present day newcomers, we all impact the islands economic, natural, and cultural history, and by volunteering time at the museum, we ensure that future generations enjoy the legacy we leave behind.
