The Vashon Heritage Museum is renovating its permanent exhibits. We are interested in collecting more stories about life on Vashon-Maury Island from our community. We invite any community members to share stories of their personal or family history to help tell more completely the story of our community.
The exhibit will examine the history of our island. From its formation and geographical features to the stories of the diverse people who helped to make the island what it is today. The stories we collect will be considered for inclusion in the permanent exhibit and subsequent temporary exhibits.
The museum is hosting a weekly series of public meetings to gather and discuss stories that help to define Vashon-Maury's history and community. The meetings will be held every Tuesday evening, 6:00-7:00 pm, beginning May 25 and running through June 29. Click here to learn more about the process and how you can help.
