Grant Funds Received

Thought you'd like to know...Donations and 4Culture grant fund preservation work next door to the Heritage Museum this summer.A number of projects have been going on at the "parsonage" this summer. The whole building has a new roof and the old chimney has been replaced with stainless steel chimney pipe. Seismic strapping on the water tank and seismic hold-downs have been installed. Landscape alterations come next, with landscape improvements to be made when the weather changes and the driveway is less dusty. This project was made possible by funds donated when the building was purchased. That money had been held in savings by the mortgage bank and was recently released. A $5000 grant from 4Culture supplemented these funds, making these improvements possible this year. The parsonage is in use as a residential rental, with income paying the bulk of mortgage, taxes, and maintenance expenses. While we look forward to making use as an education facility a few years from now, we're able to sustain and preserve it while it continues to be used as a private home for now. Please continue to respect the privacy of the tenant family.
