As a consequence of the Museum’s ever-growing collection, only a small fraction of that collection can be made available to the public for display. On average, most museums display from 2-4 percent of their permanent collection at any given time.
In an effort to open such a treasure trove wider than ever before, Museum volunteers and staff members have explored the less frequented places in the collection in order to bring to light uncommon historical items of special interest and significance.
