Ellisport: From Chautauqua to Community tells the story of Ellisport from its use as a sx̌ʷəbabs Native People’s gathering and camping site, to its origins as the Chautauqua Assembly Grounds, to Ellisport’s heyday as a waterfront community, to its current role as one of the few villages on Vashon. This story is told through the personal stories of some of the remarkable individuals who represent these periods of Ellisport’s history.
