90th Anniversary of Pioneer Monument

On November 11, 1927, the Vashon-Maury Island Pioneer Society unveiled a Monument to the early America Settlers on the island. This November 11, the Vashon-Maury Island Heritage Museum will recreated the unveiling ceremony and celebrate the 90th anniversary of the original monument. Gene Sherman, who was 7-year old at the time, was at the 1927 unveiling ceremony and will unveil the Monument at this 90th Anniversary Celebration.
